Eleni Panouklia

Eleni Panouklia (b.1972) completed her postgraduate studies in Sculpture on a scholarship she received from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (2007). She has studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Art (2004), Sculpture at the "Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma" (2003-04) and Chemistry at the University of Patras (1995). Lives and works in Athens.

With philosophical, political and intensely psychological reflection mainly creates large-scale site-specific installations, often using multimedia, as well as large and smaller drawings. A common feature throughout her works is the indistinguishable structures (medians) developed in the void / empty space between two forms (visible, directly perceptible elements). This way she creates new environments with new data. Through this enrichment, she also raises questions around the perception of the sensible world.
